Samantha AwandGor­tel, of Lanesville, N.Y., has been pro­moted to man­ager of the Phoeni- cia branch of Ul­ster Sav­ings Bank.

She pre­vi­ously was head teller at the Phoeni­cia branch.

••• David Ping, of Rhinebeck, N.Y., has been ap­pointed to a twoterm on the board of the eight-state Founders Af­fil­i­ate board of di­rec­tors of the Amer­i­can Heart As­so­ci­a­tion.

Ping is se­nior vice pres­i­dent of strate­gic plan­ning and busi­ness de­vel­op­ment with Health Quest, which in­cludes North­ern Dutchess Hospi­tal, of Rhinebeck.

He was as chair­man of the Amer­i­can Heart As­so­ci­a­tion Heart Walks for Dutchess and Ul­ster coun­ties and is cur­rent chair­man of the Amer­i­can Heart As­so­ci­a­tion Hud­son Val­ley re­gional board of di­rec­tors.

The board leads com­mu­nity pro­grams, aware­ness ini­tia­tives, fund­ing ef­forts, and grass­roots ad­vo­cacy ef­forts.
