Betty Jean Brueckner, 83, of West Hurley
WEST HURLEY >> Betty Jean Brueckner, 83, passed away suddenly Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at her residence.
Born May 30, 1933, in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Pearl Krom Beesmer and had resided in West Hurley for many years.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She was predeceased by an infant son, Ned Brueckner; her sister, Doris Niece; and brothers, Robert and Walter Beesmer.
Surviving are her husband, Ned E. Brueckner, with whom she celebrated their 65th anniversary on Sept. 22; two daughters, Dale Whipple and her husband John of Hurley, and Robin Miller and her husband Alan of Rome, Ga.; a son, Dan Brueckner and his wife Patricia of Honeapath, S.C.; two sisters, Eva Finelli of Saugerties and Nancy Sweeney of Kingston; and six grandchildren, Scott, Christine, Jeremy, Jonathan, Andrea and Alex. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday, 10 to 11 a.m. at Lasher Funeral Home Inc., 100 Tinker St., Woodstock. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., followed by entombment at Wiltwyck Community Maussoleum in Kingston.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or West Hurley Rescue Squad.
