Charles E. Coutant, 80, of The Villages, Fla.
THE VILLAGES, FLA. >> Charles E. Coutant, age 80, residing in The Villages, Fla., died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016.
He was born Dec. 19, 1937 in Ruby, N.Y., to the late Charles A. Coutant and Agnes M. (Lortz) Coutant.
Charles was married on July 1, 1961, in Tarrytown, N.Y.
He graduate from Kingston High School, worked for 36 years at IBM and had 14 years at Nichols Fire Apparatus. He served 1958 to 1960 with the U.S. Army’s 2nd Infantry Division in Korea.
Retiring in The Villages, Fla., he was a longtime resident of Ruby, N.Y. and a life member of the Ruby Fire Department including service as Treasurer and Commissioner of the Ruby Fire District.
Survived by his wife, Joanne (Brancato) Coutant of The Villages, Fla.; children (in order of date of birth, and their spouses) Lisa Coutant-Cote and son-in-law Rich Cote of Long Island City, N.Y., Lynda O’Reilly and son-in-law Patrick O’Reilly of Kingston, N.Y.; and grandchildren: Jack O’Reilly and Summer O’Reilly.
Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at 8:30 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Church Lady Lake, Fla., with full Military Honors.
