“We are bat­tling in­juries and ill­nesses the past few games, but the team re­ally rose to the oc­ca­sion against a good On­te­ora squad,” Rhinebeck coach Matt Grande said. “Car­o­line Voorhis, Libby Cal­la­han and Alex Dunn kept the de­fense to­gether and re­ally helped pre­serve the shutout.”

“We were put in the cor­rect mind­set with early counter at­tack­ing goals by Han­nah and Kali,” Marl­boro coach Keith Walker said. “The girls did a great job of us­ing the flanks to open space in the at­tack­ing third of the field.

At High­land, Abby Thomas scored two goals, Natalie Wa­jda had a goal and one as­sist and Cam­ryn Tarkos also had an as­sist to lead (2-5) Roo­sevelt.

Teresa Mazella had the goal off a di­rect kick for (28, 2-9) High­land.

Alana Cath­cart didn’t make a save for Roo­sevelt, but ju­nior de­fender Syd­ney To­maseski stepped in to clear two would-be goals when the ball got past the keeper.

At North East, Isa Rosensweig’s goal 21 min­utes into the match proved to be the dif­fer­ence in a well-played out­ing that had (6-2, 7-3) Mill­brook hold­ing off (2-7) We­bu­tuck.
