Gipson secures Green Party line in Senate race
Former state Sen. Terry Gipson, who is trying to retake the 41st District seat from the woman who ousted him two years ago, has secured a fourth line on the ballot.
In an “opportunity to ballot” primary, Gipson has been declared the winner of the Green Party line.
Gipson also will appear on the Democratic, Working Families and Women’s Equality lines.
“We are just very happy to lead the way in helping get PCBs out of the Hudson River, helping hold oil companies accountable to the pollution that they continue to subject us to, keeping the oil barges from docking in the Hudson River, keeping oil trains from traveling down the Hudson River and leading the way in green policies,” said Gipson, D-Rhinebeck.
Gipson is running against Sen. Sue Serino, RHyde Park.
The 41st Senate District comprises most of Dutchess County and part of Putnam County.
