Farm ‘fun’ raiser sched­uled for Oct. 8

The Wood­stock Land Con­ser­vancy and Longyear Farm, 46 Schoon­maker Lane, Wood­stock, will host the 3rd an­nual Longyear Farm “Fun” Raiser from noon to 6 p.m. Satur­day, Oct. 8.

Ac­tiv­i­ties will in­clude Sto­ry­telling with Heather Longyear from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; a for­ag­ing walk with Ae­men Bell at 1 p.m.; so­lar cook­ing with A.J. Le­d­er­man at 1:30 p.m.; a farm walk with Matt Longyear at 2 p.m.; com­mu­nity art with Riva We­in­stein from 2 to 4 p.m.; “Sheep to Wool” with fiber artist Carol Mau­riello, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; Ivy Vine Player Pup­pet The­ater, 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.; tree ex­plo­ration with Vern Rist, 3 p.m.; bee­hive ob­ser­va­tion with Michael Rei­mondo, 4 p.m.; a cre­ative art project with Fiber­flame Stu­dio from noon to 6 p.m.; and face paint­ing from noon to 6 p.m.

The en­trance fee is $20 per fam­ily and $8 per in­di­vid­ual. The rain date is Oct. 9.
