Domestic violence awareness promoted
Ulster County will recognize October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a number of activities.
The 4th Annual Domestic Violence Information Forum, featuring storytelling performances by the TMI Project and presentations by agencies about their roles in fighting domestic violence, will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 27 at the SUNY Ulster College Lounge.

The Ulster County Office Building and the cupola at the Crime Victim’s Unit Office will be lit in purple; four billboards will be displayed throughout the county; Domestic Violence Awareness banners with the hotline number will be displayed at various locations; the Clothesline Project Art Exhibit will be in the lobby of the Ulster County Office Building; and county employees will be encouraged to wear purple Oct. 20.
