Born June 12, 1930, in Manhattan, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Johnson Miller.
Ginger married Joseph Bergin on Nov. 21, 1948, and they lived in Greenlawn, N.Y., where they started their family. They moved to Saugerties in 1971. She was also employed by the Saugerties Central Schools in Mount Marion as a lunchroom monitor. Ginger was an avid New York Yankees fan and a passionate Buffalo Bills fan, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph. Survivors include two daughters: Susan and her husband Michael Ajello of Staten Island, Ruthann and her husband Vincent Buono of Saugerties; two sons: Joseph Bergin and his wife Chris of North Carolina and John Bergin of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and six grandchildren, Lori, Chrissy, Anthony, Joseph, Jacqueline and Vincent. Seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral procession will form at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette streets, Saugerties. Thence to St. Mary of the Snow Roman Catholic Church, where at 10 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
