10-0 Rhinebeck blanks Ellenville
Rhinebeck High improved to 10-0 with a 3-0 shutout of Ellenville in a soggy Mid-Hudson Athletic League girls soccer match Friday.
All three of the Hawks’ goals came in the first half with Michelle Giamportone striking first on a penalty kick in the 13th minute. Amber Hoglin scored on a Sam McClenahan assist in the 16th minute.
McClenahan then rounded the scoring off a Libby Callahan assist in the 26 minute in the win. Rhinebeck outshot the Devils, 20-8, in the victory.
Dani Amidon recorded six saves for Rhinebeck.
Goalkeeper Malaave Vanelys stopped 12 shots for Ellenville which has a 6-3-1 record.
