Fall Fes­ti­val in vil­lage takes place Oct. 7

The vil­lage will host a Fall Fes­ti­val on Main Street from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 7 as part of First Fri­day.

The vil­lage will be open late for the event. Ad­mis­sion is free.

Among the high­lights will be a cos­tume pa­rade for dogs and chil­dren hap­pen­ing at 5:30 p.m. There will be prizes awarded for best cos­tumes — for peo­ple and ca­nines. Af­ter the pa­rade, there will a screen­ing of the movie “Ho­cus Po­cus.”

There will be pump­kin paint­ing with the Catskill Moun­tain Ar­ti­sans’ Guild, and scare­crow mak­ing out on the street along with a bounce house for chil­dren.

Ben Rounds will pro­vide mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment through­out the en­tire event. And there will also be a demon­stra­tion of how to press your own ap­ple cider.
