Voter registration deadline draws near
The last day to register by mail to vote in the upcoming Nov. 8 general election is Oct. 14, according to Ulster County Election Commissioners Thomas F. Turco and Victor Work.
Mailed registration forms must be postmarked no later than Oct. 14 and received at the Board of Elections office no later than Oct. 19.
Turco, the Republican election commissioner, and Work, the Democrat, also announced that, for the upcoming election, their offices will be offering special hours on Saturday, Oct. 15, for in-person voter registration. The office, at 284 Wall St. in Uptown Kingston, will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. that day.
The election office’s weekday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
