Class has tips to deal with invasive plants
A free class, “Invasive Plants Clean-up for your Garden,” will be offered by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County Master Gardener Program from 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 15 at the Xeriscape garden at SUNY Ulster, 491 Cottekill Road.
Registrants are invited to arrive at 9:45 am for a free tour of the Xeriscape garden and a new rain garden with master gardener Nordica Holochuck. During this “Learning in the Garden” mini-class, participants will learn to identify some invasive weeds and the best way to completely remove and discard them and will witness a demonstration with various tools.
This class is appropriate for gardeners of any level and will take place rain or shine.
