City police identify Uptown stabbing victim
No arrest had been made in Friday's assault on Damon Burns, 47, of Kingston, in front of 35 North Front St.
Police continue to investigate a stabbing in Uptown Saturday that sent a 47-year-old city man to the hospital.
Damon Burns, of Kingston, was stabbed at about 5:30 p.m. in front of 35 North Front St., police said.
He was taken to HealthAlliance Hospital’s Broadway Campus, where he was admitted with injuries that authorities said were not lifethreatening.
Kingston police on Saturday said no arrest had been made. Police were releasing no information about the type of weapon used, whether they had a suspect, or any motive for the attack.
On Friday, police had much of the intersection blocked off with yellow tape following the incident, preventing traffic from passing through the area for a short time.
People speaking to each other while watching police work at the scene on Friday said the victim was “jumped” in the attack, but they declined to be interviewed by a reporter.
