Visitor appreciated Kingston hospitality

Daily Freeman (Kingston, NY) - - LOCAL NEWS -

Dear People editor, On Aug. 25, my husband and I were in Kingston for a first-time visit. We made some wrong turns driving down to the waterfront, and while stopping to get our bearings, a gentleman in a red jeep stopped to ask if we needed help. After giving us directions, we again made a wrong turn, but he noticed it and came to find us. He told us to follow him, which easily got us to the waterfront. This man surely went out of his way to help us.

We didn’t get his name, but hope he reads this and realizes how appreciative we were and what a great example of Kingston hospitality he is. We sincerely thank him and went on to enjoy our time in Kingston.

JANE BAILEY Southbury, Conn.
