Kingston medals in Man­hat­tan College event

Kingston High had seven run­ners medal Satur­day at the pres­ti­gious Man­hat­tan College In­vi­ta­tional cross coun­try meet in Van Cort­landt Park.

The Tigers’ boys placed 11th over­all with 321 points. The girls were 20th with 492 points.

The top 75 in all races medal.

Robert Becker (13:17.4) and Jayson Hines (13:24.2) placed sev­enth and 13th, re­spec­tively, to lead Kingston in the 2.5-mile race. Ai­dan Lancer also medaled, tak­ing 58th in 14:08.9. Round­ing out this con­tin­gent were Bai­ley Burk­land-Ryan (112th, 15:02.1), Johnny Lough­lin (131st, 15:16.2) and Gio Mel­chionne (140th, 15:27.6).

Grace Re­gan (60th, 17:22.1) and Mag­gie Noe (73rd, 17:35.7) medaled in the girls race. Also com­pet­ing were Au­tumn Spy­hal­sky (101st, 18:40.9), Clara Sensini (102nd, 18:41.3) and Sydney Miller (156th, 22:19.9).

Cindy Jiang (19th, 8:01.7) and Thea Ko­valeski (38th, 8:22.0) both medaled for the Tigers in the Fresh­man race. Kayla Aji­at­taz (87th, 10:16.6) also ran in the 1.25mile race.

Com­pet­ing for Kingston in the 2.5-mile Ju­nior Var­sity boys race were Cameron Fair­ley (77th, 15:44.3), Eddy Zajac (84th, 15:51.5), Matt Krom (161st, 17:23.2) ancd Cole Elmendorf (167th, 17:29.9).

Kingston is at New­burgh Free Academy for an Or­ange County In­ter­scholas­tic Ath­letic As­so­ci­a­tion meet Thurs­day, then runs in the Brown In­vi­ta­tional in Rhode Is­land Satur­day. Win­ners & How Lo­cal Ath­letes Fared: BOYS
