Oct. 21 moon­walk on Hudson Val­ley Rail Trail

HIGH­LAND >> The “Oc­to­ber Moon­Walk,” an event to take place on the Hudson Val­ley Rail Trail, will fea­ture a guided moon­walk, light snacks, bev­er­ages and a bon­fire.

The event is sched­uled to take place Oct. 21, with reg­is­tra­tion at 7 p.m. Then moon­walk will start at the trail de­pot at 101 New Paltz Road and run to 9 p.m.

The moon­light walk will take place from the de­pot and go west­ward to Tony Wil­liams Park and re­turn to the de­pot for light re­fresh­ments.

Fea­tured events in­clude the High­land High School The­ater Club, un­der the guid­ance of Krista Pet­rosoff, pre­sent­ing “Our Town of Lloyd: A Walk Through His­tory” along the Hudson Val­ley Rail Trail be­gin­ning at 7 p.m.

Jonathan Heiles, a pro­fes­sional Sto­ry­teller, will be­gin telling sto­ries at 8 p.m. around the bon­fire.

En­trance fee for the event is $5, Chil­dren un­der age 6 get in free.
