Do­mes­tic Vi­o­lence In­for­ma­tion Fo­rum set

STONE RIDGE » SUNY Ul­ster will host the 4th An­nual Do­mes­tic Vi­o­lence In­for­ma­tion Fo­rum from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Col­lege Lounge, Van­der­lyn Hall.

The con­fer­ence is cospon­sored by the Ul­ster County In­ter­a­gency Coun­cil on Do­mes­tic Vi­o­lence, County Ex­ec­u­tive Michael Hein, SUNY Ul­ster and the TMI Project.

The pub­lic is in­vited to this free event.

This con­fer­ence will fo­cus on par­tic­i­pants telling their sto­ries re­gard­ing do­mes­tic vi­o­lence is­sues. By shar­ing, sto­ry­tellers be­come agents of change, fos­ter­ing compassion, un­der­stand­ing and pub­lic aware­ness, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease.

The TMI Project is a non-profit or­ga­ni­za­tion of­fer­ing me­moir work­shops and per­for­mances that in­vite sto­ry­tellers and au­di­ence mem­bers to ex­plore new per­spec­tives.
