Red Hook improves to 13-0 with shutout victory over Rondout Valley
KINGSTON >> Kingston High scored four goals in the second half to shut out Roosevelt, 5-0, in a non-league match Tuesday as the Tigers played their Senior Night game at Dietz Stadium.
Grace DiMuccio and Lily Hahn each had a goal and an assist and Daria Czaplicki, Julia Rogerson and Faye Higgins also scored to lead Kingston. Angeligue Ferro chipped in with an assist for the (8-5) Tigers.
Kyla Burns had two saves for Kingston to earn the shutout, while Alana Cathcart and Hope Dyer combined to stop eight shots for (3-9) Roosevelt. Red Hook 9, Rondout 0
At Red Hook, Isabelle LaBarbera scored five goals to lead the Raiders in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League contest. Red Hook is now 13-0. Claire Dickson had a pair of goals, AJ Fuchs-White scored and Tessa Husted got her first varsity goal for the Raiders. Itzel Mialma and Alexa Franceschi had two assists apiece and Abby Williams, Angie Maneri and Syr Esposito dished out one for Red Hook.
Megan Jankowiak and Lauren Stokes each played a half in goal to earn a share of the shutout.
Erin Clune had six saves and Bella LaFiandra had eight in split duty for Rondout Valley. Marlboro 6, Millbrook 0
At Marlboro, Hannah Sullivan had a hat trick as the Dukes blanked Millbrook.
Lizzy Lofaro, connected on a Joyce Ryder assist in the 14th minute to give Marlboro a 1-0 lead.
Sullivan scored her first off Baylee Garrison’s assist in the 22nd minute and Kali Schindler added another three minutes later to make it 3-0 before the half.
Sullivan’s second goal was in the 46th minute and she completed her hat trick off a Schindler pass in the 66th minute. Schindler later capped the scoring by setting up Joyce Ryder’s tally.
“Kali Schindler’s mobility and vision was great today finding the correct attacking option with her passes,” Dukes coach Keith Walker said.
Emily Mott had one save and Alyssa Macur had three for the (8-5, 6-4) Dukes, while Claire Martell recorded nine for (7-5, 7-4) Millbrook.
