Ex-Yan­kees star due at Pat­tern event

Former New York Yan­kees cen­ter fielder Bernie Wil­liams, who helped lead the team to four World Series ti­tles, will be the fea­tured guest at Pat­tern for Progress’ an­nual Fall Re­cep­tion Nov. 9 at An­thony’s Pier 9.

Wil­liams, who wore No. 51 dur­ing his 16 sea­sons with the Yan­kees, will be on hand to cel­e­brate Pat­tern’s 51st an­niver­sary as a Hud­son Valley pol­icy and plan­ning or­ga­ni­za­tion.

Wil­liams’ skills on the base­ball di­a­mond are matched by his mu­si­cal tal­ent. A gui­tarist in gen­res rang­ing from rock to Latin to jazz, Wil­liams has re­leased two highly praised and award-win­ning al­bums. At the re­cep­tion, he will share his mu­sic with guests and an­swer ques­tions about his ca­reer.
