Talk on alternative forms of nuclear power: 10 a.m. to noon. Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills, 320 Sawkill Road, Kingston. David Rolfe will be giving a talk about alternative forms of nuclear power that are much safer than current forms. Water-cooled nuclear energy has many problems, making it unsuitable as a long-term replacement for fossil fuels. Alternative designs, using thorium and molten salt instead of uranium and water, are currently being proposed. The talk is free and open to the public.
