Kingston ends reg­u­lar sea­son with easy win

Kingston High’s girls swim team put the fin­ish­ing touches on a 9-1 reg­u­lar sea­son with a 119-64 vic­tory over War­wick in Or­ange County In­ter­scholas­tic Ath­letic As­so­ci­a­tion ac­tion.

Alexa Peck, Is­abella Amaro, Alexan­dra Mitchell, Tay­lor Robey, Kelly Man­ley and Emily Hakim led the Tigers as they each won in­di­vid­ual races and swam on at least vic­to­ri­ous re­lay.

Peck won the 500-freestyle re­lay (5:50.67) and was on both suc­cess­ful re­lays. She teamed with Man­ley, Robey and Bai­iley Shaf­fer to take the med­ley re­lay (2:02.94) and joined with Mitchell, Amaro and Hakim on the 200-free re­lay (1:51.35).

Amaro won the in­di­vid­ual 200-free (2:11.80), while Mitchell took the in­di­vid­ual med­ley (2:26.59), Robey the 50-free (25.86), Man­ley the but­ter­fly (1:05.93) and Hakim the 100-free (59.50).

Kingston now gets ready for the OCIAA cham­pi­onships. The div­ing is Oct. 21 at War­wick with the swim­ming Oct. 22 at Val­ley Cen­tral.
