Albert ‘Bob’ Miller, 77, of West Saugerties
WEST SAUGERTIES >> Albert “Bob” Miller, 77, of Manorville Rd. died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at his residence surrounded by family.
Born Jan. 3, 1939, in the Bronx he was the son of the late Albert and Lillian Speirs Miller.
A lifelong area resident he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was employed over the years for Alpha Portland Cement, Gilbane and Gaffney, Local 1249 of Syracuse, John Mullens and Son, and he was the former owner of Bob Miller Trucking. An avid outdoorsman he loved to hunt, fish and spend time at his hunting camp. He was a charter member of the Saugerties Elks Lodge #2574 and a former member of the Ridge Runners.
Survivors include his wife, Timmy, two sons: Robert and Timothy Miller, daughter-inlaw, Denise Miller. Three grandchildren: Ryan, Colin and Adrianna Miller. Three brothers: Tommy (Ruth), Kenny (Anna) and Johnny (Rose Ann) Miller. One sister: Patti (Bobby) Sherwood. Several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Bandit.
He was predeceased by his son, Mark and sister: Lillian Alte.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Dr. Andrate and Dr. Costley and his caregivers, Gerri and Danny Brady.
His Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc., corner of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Interment with military honors will follow in the Blue Mt. Cemetery.
