WEST SAUGER­TIES >> Al­bert “Bob” Miller, 77, of Manorville Rd. died Fri­day, Oct. 14, 2016, at his res­i­dence sur­rounded by fam­ily.

Born Jan. 3, 1939, in the Bronx he was the son of the late Al­bert and Lillian Speirs Miller.

A life­long area res­i­dent he was a vet­eran of the United States Air Force and was em­ployed over the years for Al­pha Port­land Ce­ment, Gil­bane and Gaffney, Lo­cal 1249 of Syra­cuse, John Mul­lens and Son, and he was the for­mer owner of Bob Miller Truck­ing. An avid out­doors­man he loved to hunt, fish and spend time at his hunt­ing camp. He was a char­ter mem­ber of the Sauger­ties Elks Lodge #2574 and a for­mer mem­ber of the Ridge Run­ners.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Timmy, two sons: Robert and Ti­mothy Miller, daugh­ter-in­law, Denise Miller. Three grand­chil­dren: Ryan, Colin and Adri­anna Miller. Three broth­ers: Tommy (Ruth), Kenny (Anna) and Johnny (Rose Ann) Miller. One sis­ter: Patti (Bobby) Sher­wood. Sev­eral nieces and neph­ews and his beloved dog, Ban­dit.

He was pre­de­ceased by his son, Mark and sis­ter: Lillian Alte.

The fam­ily would like to give spe­cial thanks to the staff of Dr. An­drate and Dr. Cost­ley and his care­givers, Gerri and Danny Brady.

His Fu­neral Ser­vice will be held 10 a.m. Tues­day at the Sea­mon-Wilsey Fu­neral Home, Inc., cor­ner of John & Lafayette Sts., Sauger­ties. In­ter­ment with mil­i­tary hon­ors will fol­low in the Blue Mt. Ceme­tery.

Friends will be re­ceived Mon­day 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Ex­pres­sions of con­do­lence may be shared with the fam­ily @Sea­monWilseyFuner­alHome.com “What hap­pens at the cabin, stays at the cabin.”
