Wil­liamson rushes Marl­boro to victory

Ju­nior Billy Wil­liamson rushed for 239 yards and six touch­downs to power Marl­boro High to a 59-3 victory over High­land in a Sec­tion 9, Class B Di­vi­sion I foot­ball game.

Wil­liamson scored three TDs in each half of the an­nual Black and Blue Bowl as Marl­boro churned up 601 yards of­fense on the ground.

Sopho­more Eric Borchert had 121 yards on 13 car­ries, John Perug­ino ran eight times for 91, Paul Evans rushed for 89 yards and one TD on 11 at­tempts and Sam Mon­gelli scram­bled 11 times for 81 as part of Marl­boro’s at­tack. Myles Bar­ring­ton also ran for a Duke touch­down.

Marl­boro, which plays in the B quar­ter­fi­nals next week, fin­ished the reg­u­lar sea­son 3-1 in the di­vi­sion and 5-2 over­all.

Perug­ino also had a big game. He had five catches for 101 yards

and also had two in­ter­cep­tions.

Mon­gelli threw for 87 yards be­fore get­ting in­jured in the sec­ond quar­ter. Evans took over and passed for 56 yards.

At Mid­dle­town, Justin Guer­rero scored on a touch­down run with 1:30 re­main­ing and Jake Niesen scored on a 2-point con­ver­sion to lift (4-3) Roo­sevelt to a big come­back win over (3-4) Mid­dle­town in a Class A game.

Guer­rero had two TDs

and E.J, Bud­dai ran for one to lead the Pres­i­dents.

Reg­gie Steed and Taj Ali both ran for TDs and Shane Rosa threw a scor­ing pass to Evan Roberts to give Mid­dle­town a first-quar­ter 21-7 lead. O’Neill 21 , El­lenville 0

At High­land Falls, Ti­quan Scott ran for 137 yards and one touch­down, James Mat­u­a­tia rushed for 55 and one TD and Luke Kil­ner threw for 126 yards and one score to lead (4-1, 6-1) James I. O’Neill to a Class B Di­vi­sion II victory over (05, 0-6) El­lenville. Corn­wall 47, Wal­lkill 0

At Wal­lkill, Dom Marzigliano ran for 163 yards and four touch­downs, in­clud­ing a 44-yard scam­per, to lead (4-0, 4-2) Corn­wall to a Class A victory. Lu­ciano Budd also had a big game for the Raiders with 80 yards and two TD runs.

Wal­lkill fell to 1-4 in Class A and 2-5 over­all.
