SUNY Ulster offers equivalency test course
A course to help prepare students for the Test Assessing Secondary Competency (TASC), which is needed to earn a high school equivalency diploma, will be offered at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster, 94 Mary’s Ave.
Designed for students who did not graduate from high school but want a certificate equivalent to the traditional high school diploma, the program provides instruction in language arts, writing, reading, math, science and social studies.
The course also will focus on preparing students for college and assist those seeking enrollment in a SUNY Ulster degree or certificate program. Classes meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from Oct. 24 through Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster. The course fee is $20.
