Can­di­dates, lo­cal elec­tion of­fi­cials don’t ex­pect fraud

Don­ald Trump has long al­leged the Amer­i­can elec­toral process is rigged and re­cently has claimed voter fraud is wide­spread and the re­sults of the Nov. 8 elec­tion might not be le­git­i­mate.

“The elec­tion is ab­so­lutely be­ing rigged by the dis­hon­est and dis­torted me­dia push­ing Crooked Hil­lary — but also at many polling places,” the Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial can­di­date tweeted re­cently. “SAD.”

But in the Mid-Hud­son Val­ley, elected of­fi­cials and peo­ple di­rectly in­volved in the elec­tion process say they are con­fi­dent in the sys­tem and in how the up­com­ing elec­tion will be car­ried out.
