WHAT: Per­for­mance by The Capi­tol Steps WHEN: Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. WHERE: Bar­davon, 35 Mar­ket St., Pough­keep­sie DE­TAILS: The mu­si­cal po­lit­i­cal satire group The Capi­tol Steps will put the mock in democ­racy when they per­form at the Bar­davon just two days be­fore Elec­tion Day. The Capi­tol Steps be­gan as a group of Se­nate staffers who set out to sat­i­rize the very peo­ple and places that em­ployed them. Since they be­gan, the group has recorded over 30 al­bums, in­clud­ing its lat­est, “Take the Money and Run — for Pres­i­dent.” They’ve been fea­tured on NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS, and can be heard four times a year on Na­tional Public Ra­dio sta­tions na­tion­wide dur­ing their Politics Takes a Hol­i­day ra­dio spe­cials.
