High school se­niors host cloth­ing drive

SAUGER­TIES >> Sauger­ties High School’s se­nior class will have a used cloth­ing drive fundraiser Satur­day, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the bus cir­cle on the school cam­pus off Wash­ing­ton Av­enue Ex­ten­sion.

Lo­cal res­i­dents are en­cour­aged to drop off new or gen­tly used cloth­ing of all types and sizes, as well as sneak­ers and shoes, hats, jew­elry, purses, belts, back­packs, bed­ding and other linens (no pil­lows), small stuffed toys, DVDs, and video games. Items should be in well-tied in 13- or 33-gal­lon plas­tic trash bags. Cloth­ing, footwear/ac­ces­sories, and toys should be grouped in sep­a­rate bags.

The drive is be­ing held in part­ner­ship with De­posit Your Closet/Cloth­ing DriveFundraiser.com, which will col­lect the bags, weigh them, and give the se­nior class a mon­e­tary do­na­tion based on the to­tal weight. All pro­ceeds will go to the se­nior class to help fund class trips and other ac­tiv­i­ties.
