Water­shed Corp. of­fers free train­ing

The Catskill Water­shed Cor­po­ra­tion will spon­sor a free train­ing day for plan­ners and lo­cal of­fi­cials on Nov. 4.

The train­ing will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Amer­i­can Le­gion Post #216, 903 Main St.

Work­shops in­clude: “Hot But­ton Is­sues,” which is an over­view of some land uses lo­cal of­fi­cials may find chal­leng­ing; “So­lar En­ergy Reg­u­la­tion,” which looks at the au­thor­ity of lo­cal govern­ments to reg­u­late pho­to­voltaic so­lar en­ergy sys­tems; and “Adap­tive Reuses for White Ele­phants,” which looks at adap­tive reuses for build­ings such as for­mer churches and ar­mories.
