Rail trail MoonWalk scheduled for Friday
The October MoonWalk, an event on the Hudson Valley Rail Trail featuring a guided walk, light snacks, beverages and a bonfire, is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, starting at the Hudson Valley Rail Trail Depot, 101 New Paltz Road.
The moonlight walk will travel west to Tony Williams Park and return to the depot for light refreshments.
Featured events include the Highland High School Theater Club presenting “Our Town of Lloyd: A Walk Through History” along the Hudson Valley Rail Trail beginning at 7 p.m.
Storyteller Jonathan Heiles will begin telling stories at 8 p.m. around the bonfire.
The entrance fee for the event is $5, with children 6 and under admitted for free. Participants are asked to bring flashlights, but pets, bikes and scooters are not allowed.
