Rail trail Moon­Walk sched­uled for Fri­day

The Oc­to­ber Moon­Walk, an event on the Hud­son Val­ley Rail Trail fea­tur­ing a guided walk, light snacks, bev­er­ages and a bon­fire, is sched­uled for 7 to 9 p.m. Fri­day, start­ing at the Hud­son Val­ley Rail Trail De­pot, 101 New Paltz Road.

The moonlight walk will travel west to Tony Wil­liams Park and re­turn to the de­pot for light re­fresh­ments.

Fea­tured events in­clude the High­land High School The­ater Club pre­sent­ing “Our Town of Lloyd: A Walk Through His­tory” along the Hud­son Val­ley Rail Trail be­gin­ning at 7 p.m.

Sto­ry­teller Jonathan Heiles will be­gin telling sto­ries at 8 p.m. around the bon­fire.

The en­trance fee for the event is $5, with chil­dren 6 and un­der ad­mit­ted for free. Par­tic­i­pants are asked to bring flash­lights, but pets, bikes and scoot­ers are not al­lowed.
