UL­STER PARK >> Evan­ge­line (Spears) Smith, 86, formerly of Ul­ster Park, passed away on Fri­day, Oct. 21, 2016, at Ten Broeck Com­mons in Lake Ka­trine.

She was born July 27, 1930, in New York City to the late Ja­cobus and Bir­gitte (Ped­er­sen) Spears.

Evan­ge­line worked for many years at NBR Di­a­mond Tool in LaGrange, N.Y. She en­joyed sewing, knit­ting, paint­ing, and her craft groups. She was a former mem­ber of the Ti Yogi Bow­man Archery Club in Hyde Park, where she had won sev­eral com­pe­ti­tions.

She is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Jac­que­line (Fred) Haalck of Ul­ster Park, Na­dine (Louis) Per­sico of Cler­mont, Fla., Michael (Alice) Fabia of North Har­wich, Cape Cod, Guy Fabia and his part­ner Leona of Spokan, Wash., Jayne (Robert) Lam­precht of South Carolina, Christo­pher Fabia of Moun­tain Dale, N.Y., as well as sev­eral stepchil­dren and grand­chil­dren from her se­cond mar­riage. She is also sur­vived by 17 grand­chil­dren, 13 great-grand­chil­dren, two sis­ters, as well as sev­eral nieces, neph­ews, and cousins. Evan­ge­line was pre­de­ceased by her son, Robert C. Fabia; her grand­son, Bradley Fabia; her hus­bands, Robert M. Fabia and Ralph Smith; as well as three broth­ers and one sis­ter.

En­trusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lu­cas Ave., Kingston. A Cel­e­bra­tion of Evan­ge­line’s Life will be held at a later date. The fam­ily would like to ex­press their sin­cere grat­i­tude to the staff of Ten Broeck Com­mons Brink Unit, for their many years of com­pas­sion­ate care they pro­vided to Evan­ge­line.
