Master Gardener Hotline changing hours
KINGSTON >> Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County’s Master Gardener Horticulture Hotline will change its hours of service to 9 a.m. to noon on Fridays only from Oct. 31 through March 1.
The hotline number is (845) 340-3478. Messages can be left at any time, but are only returned on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. The Horticulture Hotline offers free, unbiased, research-based information and advice to the public, helping more than 1,000 home gardeners annually.
Other services offered include pH soil testing, and identification of insects and plants/plant disease. The cost is $5 for plant and insect identification and $3 for soil testing. There is a $1 charge for each additional soil sample.
