Ladis­laus J. To­maszewski, 94, of Navara Street, Kingston died Sun­day, Oct. 23, 2016 at HealthAl­liance Hospi­tal:Broad­way Cam­pus.

Born April 23, 1922 in Kingston; he is the son of the late Henry and Va­le­ria (For­tuna) To­maszewski.

Ladis­laus served our coun­try in the United States Navy dur­ing World War II. He worked as a first class elec­tri­cian for Cen­tral Hud­son and was a member of the IBEW Lo­cal 320 and Life Member Joyce-Schir­ick Post 1386 VFW. Ladis­laus en­joyed fish­ing, golf­ing, bowl­ing and in his younger years; played baseball in lo­cal Kingston leagues.

Sur­viv­ing are two sons; Robert To­maszewski of Kingston and Richard To­maszewski and his wife Carolyn of Dan­bury, Conn., one sis­ter Anna Qwill of Kingston, three grand­chil­dren; Jonathan and his wife Sara, Ja­son and Lindsay To­maszewski, and one great-grand­daugh­ter Zoey Grace as well as nieces and neph­ews also sur­vive.

Ladis­laus’ wife; Vir­ginia died in Nov. of 1993; a son James, as well as broth­ers and sis­ters Fran­cis, John, Joseph, Stan­ley He­len and Kather­ine To­maszewski died pre­vi­ously.

Friends will be re­ceived at the fu­neral home on Wed­nes­day from 4 to 7 p.m. The fu­neral pro­ces­sion will form Thurs­day morn­ing 9 a.m. at the fu­neral home. A Mass of Chris­tian Burial will be cel­e­brated 10 a.m. St. Joseph’s Church Kingston. Burial with mil­i­tary hon­ors will fol­low at Mt. Cal­vary Ceme­tery.
