Watershed Corp. aids stormwater projects
The Catskill Watershed Corp. Board of Directors on Oct. 4 authorized reimbursement for stormwater design and implementation costs necessitated by a number of construction projects in the New York City Watershed west of the Hudson River.
About $6,400 will be reimbursed for stormwater designs for two community projects. The H.D. Lane Volunteer Fire Company in Lanesville, town of Hunter, has built an addition to the fire hall, and the town of Lexington is to build a pavilion at a new park.
Additional costs were also approved for previously funded stormwater projects. Windham homeowner Chris Barber was approved for $40,085, while 3115 Route 28 LLC in Shokan was approved for $29,500 for an addition and parking lot. Additionally, the board approved spending $17,800 to have the Watershed Corp. parking lot and handicap access ramp repaved.
