Watershed Alliance will host conference
The Hudson River Watershed Alliance, along with the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s Hudson River Estuary Program, will have its annual Watershed Conference Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Henry A. Wallace Center at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Home, U.S. Route 9.
The theme of the conference is “Healthy Watersheds, Healthy Waters: Emerging Perspectives on Sustainable Watershed Management.”
The keynote speakers are Wallace J. Nichols, the New York Times best-selling author of “Blue Mind: The Surprising Science That Shows How Being Near, In, On, or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do” and Peter Iwanowicz, executive director of Environmental Advocates of New York.
