Wa­ter­shed Al­liance will host con­fer­ence

The Hud­son River Wa­ter­shed Al­liance, along with the state De­part­ment of En­vi­ron­men­tal Conservation’s Hud­son River Es­tu­ary Pro­gram, will have its an­nual Wa­ter­shed Con­fer­ence Wed­nes­day, Nov. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Henry A. Wal­lace Cen­ter at the Franklin D. Roo­sevelt Pres­i­den­tial Li­brary and Home, U.S. Route 9.

The theme of the con­fer­ence is “Healthy Water­sheds, Healthy Waters: Emerg­ing Per­spec­tives on Sus­tain­able Wa­ter­shed Man­age­ment.”

The key­note speak­ers are Wal­lace J. Nichols, the New York Times best-sell­ing au­thor of “Blue Mind: The Sur­pris­ing Science That Shows How Be­ing Near, In, On, or Un­der Wa­ter Can Make You Hap­pier, Health­ier, More Con­nected, and Bet­ter at What You Do” and Peter Iwanow­icz, ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor of En­vi­ron­men­tal Ad­vo­cates of New York.
