Kingston ends win­less sea­son with 40-20 loss

Kingston ended its Sec­tion 9 foot­ball sea­son 0-9 with a 40-20 cross­over loss to Val­ley Cen­tral.

MONT­GOMERY >> Kingston High’s foot­ball team scored its most points in a game this sea­son, but it wasn’t enough to off­set the hero­ics of Val­ley Cen­tral quar­ter­back Chan­dler Toth.

Toth threw for 304 yards and five touch­downs, lead­ing the Wiz­ards to a 40-20 win over the Tigers in a Sec­tion 9 cross­over game that gave Kingston a win­less sea­son.

The Tigers fin­ished 0-9 for its sec­ond win­less cam­paign in three years.

JaVar Tins­ley had TD runs of 3 and 2 yards to end the year with seven touch­downs for the Tigers. Quar­ter­back Manny Wil­son raced 14 yards for an­other score.

Toth tossed TD passes of 15, 29, 2, 12 and 60 yards to Nyesh Dot­son. Jay­den Rose ran for one touch­down for (1-8) Val­ley Cen­tral.

Toth be­came the 14th player to throw for more than 2,000 yards in Sec­tion 9 his­tory, fin­ish­ing with 2,273 yards and 18 touch­downs.
