JoAnne Hoff­man, 85, passed away Tues­day, Oct. 25, 2016, at Vas­sar Hos­pi­tal in Pough­keep­sie.

Born July 28, 1931 in Musko­gee, Okla., she was the daugh­ter of the late Les­lie and L. Louise Wit­t­land Con­kling and had resided in Wood­stock for many years be­fore mov­ing to Stone Ridge and seven years ago to Wood­land Pond in New Paltz.

JoAnne grad­u­ated from Colby Col­lege in Water­ville, Maine. She had lived in many places in the Western part of the coun­try, while her fa­ther worked for the con­struc­tion depart­ment for the U.S. In­dian Agency. She and her hus­band ran the Twin Gables Guest House in Wood­stock un­til they re­tired to his fam­ily farm in Stone Ridge. She loved trav­el­ing and her beloved pets. She was faith­ful mem­ber of Christ the King Epis­co­pal Church in Stone Ridge and sang in the choir.

She was pre­de­ceased by her son, Daryl Scott Hoff­man.

Sur­viv­ing are her hus­band of 59 years, Al­bert Hoff­man; her daugh­ter, Jeral­dine Denise Hoff­man and her hus­band Ter­rance John­son of Dover, N.H.; her sis­ter, Norma Jean Drake of Wood­stock; a niece, Su­san Louise Drake; and nephew, Gre­gory Owen Drake of Wood­stock.

Visi­ta­tion will be Sun­day, 1 to 2 p.m., at Christ the King Church, 3021 Rte 213, Stone Ridge, (687-9414) fol­lowed by the Burial Ser­vice and in­urn­ment in the church colum­bar­ium.
