Fashion class to host entrepreneurship event
Students in SUNY Ulster’s introduction to fashion class and students in the introduction to entrepreneurship class are collaborating to develop and host an event called Fashion & Entrepreneurship: Stories and Role Models scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 16 in the College Lounge in Vanderlyn Hall.
The event will highlight the designs, merchandise and entrepreneurial stories of seven fashion companies from the local community. It will consist of a fashion show, the telling of the entrepreneurial stories and a panel discussion with the business owners. The seven fashion designers and companies working with the students include: Falls Designs (Leong Ong), Hodge Podge Farm (Cal Patch), Karina Dresses (Karina Cousineau), Lgnd Supply Co. (Margrit Wenzel), Next Boutique (Beth Petramale), Ryan Roche Fashion (Ryan Roche) and Unshattered (Kelly Lyndgaard).
The public is invited to attend. There is no charge.
