Fash­ion class to host en­trepreneur­ship event

Stu­dents in SUNY Ul­ster’s in­tro­duc­tion to fash­ion class and stu­dents in the in­tro­duc­tion to en­trepreneur­ship class are col­lab­o­rat­ing to de­velop and host an event called Fash­ion & En­trepreneur­ship: Sto­ries and Role Mod­els sched­uled from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Col­lege Lounge in Van­der­lyn Hall.

The event will high­light the de­signs, mer­chan­dise and en­tre­pre­neur­ial sto­ries of seven fash­ion com­pa­nies from the lo­cal com­mu­nity. It will con­sist of a fash­ion show, the telling of the en­tre­pre­neur­ial sto­ries and a panel dis­cus­sion with the busi­ness own­ers. The seven fash­ion de­sign­ers and com­pa­nies work­ing with the stu­dents in­clude: Falls De­signs (Leong Ong), Hodge Podge Farm (Cal Patch), Ka­rina Dresses (Ka­rina Cousineau), Lgnd Sup­ply Co. (Margrit Wen­zel), Next Bou­tique (Beth Pe­tra­male), Ryan Roche Fash­ion (Ryan Roche) and Un­shat­tered (Kelly Lyn­dgaard).

The pub­lic is in­vited to at­tend. There is no charge.
