Learn to set rates for farmland rentals
KINGSTON » The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County will address the challenge to farmers and landowners in the Hudson Valley of knowing how to set a rental rate or assess a rent offer for farmland at a workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Extension office at Kingston Plaza, Plaza Road.
The workshop, led by Elizabeth Higgins, ag business management specialist for the Eastern New York Commercial Horticulture Program, will cover different tools and methods for setting and evaluating farmland rental rates.
