Thelma L. (nee Leith) Carpenter on Oct. 18, 2016, at the age of 102. Wife of the late Fred P. Carpenter; mother of Jean­nine B. Hill and Mar­i­lyn A. Col­lier; also sur­vived by six grand­chil­dren and sev­eral great-grand­chil­dren.

Thelma and Fred spent 50 years of mar­ried life in Kingston. N.Y. Af­ter Fred’s re­tire­ment from Key Bank (for­merly Kingston Trust Com­pany), they moved to Palm Beach County in Florida.

Thelma was an ac­com­plished pian­ist and or­gan­ist who fre­quently played at Eastern Star Ama­ranth and lo­cal churches. She was most re­cently a res­i­dent of Har­ris Hill Nurs­ing Fa­cil­ity in Buf­falo, N.Y., so she could be closer to her daugh­ter Mar­i­lyn.

On Jan. 5, 2017, she would have been 103.

Pri­vate burial was held at Mon­tre­pose Ceme­tery.
