WHAT: Lec­ture WHEN: Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. WHERE: Eso­pus Town Hall, 284 Broad­way, Port Ewen DE­TAILS: The Klyne Eso­pus Mu­seum is pre­sent­ing a lec­ture by Ver­non Ben­jamin. It is ti­tled “The Last of the Seine Fish­er­man.” Trough the eyes of a Hud­son Val­ley fish­er­man and his fam­ily, Ben­jamin will ex­am­ine what hap­pened to the com­mer­cial fish­ing in­dus­try on the Hud­son River and how wa­ter­front com­mu­ni­ties have adapted to eco­nomic changes. He will go on to dis­cuss his most re­cent book, His­tory of the Hud­son Val­ley: From the Civil War to Mod­ern Times. In ad­di­tion to be­ing an au­thor, Ben­jamin is a jour­nal­ist and col­lege teacher. Ad­mis­sion is free.
