Daily Freeman (Kingston, NY) - - COMMUNITY -

Hudson River Greenway last week announced awards to the Town of Red Hook for two important transportation initiatives.

The first grant of $10,000 is for revision to the Town’s Road Specifications to incorporate Complete Streets Design to promote walking and biking. In addition to the Greenway, we would like to acknowledge Greenplan, Inc. who prepared the grant application on behalf of the Town. The second grant in the amount of $20,000 was awarded by the Greenway Trails Conservancy for design work related to implementing the Village-to- Village (Tivoli to Red Hook) Trail initiative. In addition to the Conservancy, we would like to acknowledge Brenda Cagle, Cat Viega and Sarah Imboden who all worked on the grant application.

Now in its 25th year, the Hudson River Greenway has assisted the Town in providing seed money for many of our planning initiatives to protect our natural and cultural resources.
