Kingston ad­vances to sec­tional semi­fi­nals

Tigers net 9th straight vic­tory to earn berth in Sec­tion 9 semi­fi­nals

Kingston High’s volleyball won its ninth match in a row and ad­vanced to the Sec­tion 9, Class AA semi­fi­nals with a sweep of Roo­sevelt at Kate Wal­ton Field House.

The third-seeded Tigers won 25-15, 25-19, 25-7 to earn the right to play at No. 2 Pine Bush in to­day’s 6 p.m. semis. In to­day’s other semi­fi­nal, No. 5 Mon­roe-Wood­bury trav­els to play No. 1 Min­isink Val­ley.

Semi­fi­nal win­ners play for the cham­pi­onship Sun­day at Mount Saint Mary Col­lege.

Tori Boulay (22 as­sists, four aces, five digs), Suzy Boulay (12 digs, two kills, one block, one as­sist), Jaid Har­rell (10 kills, one block, two digs) and Tori Ost (seven digs, two kills, three aces, one as­sist) paced the (12-5) Tigers.

Also with key con­tri­bu­tions for Kingston were Grace Lon­gendyke (five kills, one block, one as­sist), Shan­non Bonewit (five kills, one dig), Syd­ney Jankowski (four kills, two digs), Ashly Costello (five digs, one ace) and Ash­ley Hintz (four digs).

Lour­des Daw­son (six kills, six digs, one block), Me­gan Kelly (11 as­sists) and Gianna Felipe (five as­sists, four digs) paced Roo­sevelt.


Kingston’s Tori Ost had seven dugs, two kills, three aces and one as­sist in Tigers’ sweep of Roo­sevelt in Tues­day’s Sec­tion 9 semi­fi­nal.


Kingston’s Shan­non Bonewit con­trib­uted five kills and one dig in Tigers’ Sec­tion 9 semi­fi­nal vic­tory over Roo­sevelt at Kate Wal­ton Field House.
