SPCA plans open house on Satur­day

KINGSTON » The Ul­ster County SPCA has sched­uled an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satur­day, fea­tur­ing half price adop­tions, fa­cil­ity tours and a meet-and-greet with staff and vol­un­teers.

The shel­ter, on Brabrant Road off Sawkill Road, will be open to the pub­lic, and op­por­tu­ni­ties will be pro­vided to speak with staff and vol­un­teers. The newly ren­o­vated dog wing will be open for tours, al­low­ing view­ers to get a sense of the liv­ing quar­ters for dogs housed there.

This year marks the shel­ter’s 125th an­niver­sary.

Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor Adam Saun­ders and Board of Di­rec­tors Pres­i­dent Jerry Gret­zinger will be avail­able to dis­cuss this an­niver­sary, plus the re­cent ren­o­va­tion, ex­pected ex­pan­sion, and the shel­ter’s Home for the Hol­i­days cam­paign to get as many an­i­mals as pos­si­ble adopted.
