Vet­er­ans Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Day at Roo­sevelt site

HYDE PARK » Dutchess County’s 11th An­nual Vet­er­ans Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Satur­day at the Henry A. Wal­lace Cen­ter of the Franklin D. Roo­sevelt Pres­i­den­tial Li­brary and Home, U.S. Route 9.

Vet­er­ans and their fam­i­lies can learn about avail­able ser­vices and re­sources. There will be pre­sen­ta­tion at 10:45 a.m. on the Vet­er­ans Af­fairs Home Loan Pro­gram; at 11 a.m. on non-VA med­i­cal care; at 11:15 a.m. on mil­i­tary/ re­tiree Health In­sur­ance (Tri­care), along with in­for­ma­tion on the VA’s Civil­ian Health and Med­i­cal Pro­gram. At noon, a mil­i­tary medals pre­sen­ta­tion cer­e­mony is planned along with recog­ni­tion of Army vet­eran and re­tir­ing U.S. Rep. Chris Gib­son. From 10 to 11:45 a.m., there will be Dutchess County FA­VOR Card reg­is­tra­tion; a copy of full-time ac­tive duty dis­charge pa­pers and photo ID are re­quired.
