Seminar will teach active shooter response

Daily Freeman (Kingston, NY) - - COMMUNITY -

Members of the Kingston and town of Ulster police departments are giving a free seminar next week on how best to act in activeshooter situation.

The session is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room at Hudson Valley Mall, 1300 Ulster Ave., town of Ulster.

A press release about the event describes it as “an informative program designed to give you practical, actionable information to help you respond in this type of situation.”

Presenters at the seminar will give attendees “a better understanding of how to survive a sudden, violent attack” and teach business owners and managers “how to protect their premises and make it less inviting” to a would-be mass shooter.

Space for the seminar is limited, so preregistration is required.

To sign up or for more information, call Mike Jubie at (845) 222-8898 or email michael@headlesshorseman.com.
