AG’s office creates Election Day hotline
State Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman’s office has created a hotline to help resolve issues encountered by voters at the polls in Tuesday’s general election.
Voters experiencing problems at the polls may call the office’s hotline at (800) 771-7755 or email email@example.com at any time on Tuesday between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.
All registered New Yorkers are eligible to vote in the upcoming general election, regardless of party affiliation. Voters can check their registration status online at https:// voterlookup.elections. state.ny.us/.
Additionally, the Board of Elections must provide voters with provisional or affidavit ballots when they arrive at the right poll site, but cannot find their name in the poll book. Every poll site in the state will be open from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.
The state Attorney General’s Office has operated the hotline since November 2012.
