Free screening of documentary in Woodstock
WHAT: Screening of documentary WHEN: Nov. 20 at 1:30 p.m. WHERE: Upstate Films Woodstock, 132 Tinker St., Woodstock
DETAILS: The Woodstock Day School Parents’ Association will sponsor a free screening of the critically acclaimed documentary “Screenagers: Growing Up in a Digital World,” from award-winning filmmaker and Stanford-trained physician Dr. Delaney Ruston. Ruston, a mother herself, presents both social and medical science to delve deep into the pervasive problems of screen addiction, while also incorporating humor and optimism, offering solutions and suggestions for families trying to find balance. Following the 68-minute film, four students from Woodstock Day School’s Media Arts Lab will conduct a 45-minute panel discussion. All area schools, public and private, are invited to attend the event.
