‘Snowflake Fes­ti­val’ to re­turn on Dec. 2

KINGSTON >> The Kingston Up­town Business As­so­ci­a­tion will be host the “An­nual Snowflake Fes­ti­val” in the Up­town business dis­trict on Dec. 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Ar­riv­ing on a his­toric fire truck, Santa will light the tree at the cor­ners of Wall and North Front streets at 6 p.m. Im­me­di­ately fol­low­ing Santa and ar­riv­ing in a vin­tage 1937 Ford, will be this year’s 2016 “Light Of Up­town Award” re­cip­i­ents. They are City His­to­rian Edwin Ford and his brother, Bill.

The fes­ti­val’s main stage, lo­cated at Wall and John streets will have free per­for­mances from Mu­sic To­gether, CCE’s Engery & Pook, Cole­man High School Cho­rus, Kingston High School Brass Band, Ukraine Dancers, a ma­gi­cian, and a bike raf­fle.

Through­out the cel­e­bra­tion, in other parts of the stock­ade dis­trict, fes­ti­val-go­ers can watch “The Ice-Man” cre­ate snowflake dis­play with danc­ing lights and mu­sic, Mrs. Claus per­form her hol­i­day magic show and “The Heat-Mizer” jug­gle fire.
