Ste­wart Al­fred Winn of Kingston

Ste­wart Al­fred Winn, of Kingston, passed away af­ter a long ill­ness, Mon­day, Nov. 7, 2016.

Born in Oak­land, Calif., he was the son of the late Al­fred and Alta (Ste­wart) Winn.

As a young man, Ste­wart worked in his fam­ily’s butcher shop and served in the U.S. Navy. He loved deal­ing with peo­ple, and had a suc­cess­ful sales ca­reer with DuBois Chem­i­cal in the Bay Area and the New York Cap­i­tal Dis­trict for 25 years, re­tir­ing as Dis­trict Man­ager. Fol­low­ing re­tire­ment, Ste­wart en­joyed fundrais­ing for the Kingston High School and Bai­ley Mid­dle School bands and vol­un­teer­ing with the Clin­ton Av­enue Methodist Church Soup Kitchen. Trav­el­ing abroad was a plea­sure Ste­wart ap­pre­ci­ated through­out his life. He looked for­ward to his weekly bridge tour­na­ments, fam­ily bar­be­cues, and lis­ten­ing to old jazz stan­dards.

Sur­viv­ing is his wife, Su­san Winn, and his chil­dren, Mea­gan Winn and Christo­pher Winn.
