‘Hol­i­day on Main’ Nov. 26 in Mar­garetville

MAR­GARETVILLE >> “Hol­i­day on Main” will be held Nov. 26, start­ing with a pa­rade at 11 a.m. and end­ing with a tree-light­ing at 4:30 p.m.

The an­nual cel­e­bra­tion aims to place a spotlight on the im­por­tance of lo­cal busi­nesses and the sense of com­mu­nity they pro­vide. Mar­garetville store own­ers will of­fer spe­cial at­trac­tions, and a num­ber of ac­tiv­i­ties are planned. The event is be­ing held in con­junc­tion with Small Busi­ness Satur­day.

Ac­tiv­i­ties will in­clude Santa Claus at the Amer­i­can Le­gion Hall from noon to 4 p.m.; hay rides all day; a model train ex­hibit at the Pres­by­te­rian Church on Or­chard Street; hol­i­day crafts for kids and face paint­ing at the Ma­sonic Build­ing from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and a gift­mak­ing fair at the Catskill Moun­tain Ar­ti­sans’ Guild through­out the day.

There also will be a liv­ing Na­tiv­ity at the Catskill Moun­tain Chris­tian Cen­ter start­ing at 4 p.m.
